Trinity Abagail Hat 2

Hello, I'm Trinity Abagail and welcome to the blog!  When I was young, my absolute dream job was to become a National Geographic journalist and photographer.  I aspired to travel the world and share the untold stories that needed to be heard.  I dreamed of inspiring people to work towards a better world and future.  Sounds pretty ambitious, right?  Well, it is, but so is any dream that becomes a reality.  Okay... so, I may not be working for National Geographic, but I'm starting out small and working towards something great in my own way.

After obtaining a bachelor's degree in business, with an emphasis in marketing, I immediately jumped into the digital realm to work towards my rather ambitious career goals: basically, to work intentionally (less) and experience life more.  I currently work as the Project Manager for a local Early Childhood Council while I cultivate my self-employed [digital] career.  This blog, however, has been a long-time dream which never intended to be more than a fun hobby.

My Story

Homegrown Roots: How We Came to Be

To be completely honest, the blog began as my own

personal traveling cookbook: I wanted to be able to easily take my recipes with me anywhere and not worry about lugging a rather chaotic print recipe book here and there.  Yet, the more time I spent designing and redesigning this website, the more I found myself enjoying the process.  One day, I stumbled upon an article written which discussed the opportunities available to anyone who dedicates their time to cultivating a relevant, consistent blog.  Beforehand, it never dawned on me the financial potential and creative freedom blog writing could offer.  Needless to say, if others could do it, then why couldn't I?  I love the rich, cultural background of food around the world and enjoy recreating different dishes to share with my family.  This Homegrown Roots blog allows me to connect to and share with all of you and I couldn't be more excited or grateful!  Join along on the journey and we'll experience a piece of cultures around the world from our own kitchens.  The goal of this blog is to provide you all with healthy, yet realistic, recipes without all of the unwanted "blogger ramble" distractions.  Each recipe only has two short paragraphs that either provide brief details of the dish, has a random thought or opinion, or has a quick personal story.  After that, straight into the recipe.  No unnecessary fluff, it's that simple, so I hope you enjoy!
