Thank You, Therapy
An ode to you, dear reader, thank you for holding my words & for allowing me the space to share a piece of myself with you all.

This week I decided to shake things up a bit, to take a pause, and to properly thank you all. Thank you for attending my "therapy sessions." You see, I obviously had quite a lot on my mind and certainly some challenging, personal endeavors. For me, writing has always been my compass for expression, a tool to best analyze than articulate my thoughts. Writing brings light to my soul and pours my existence into the world. For quite some time, I have kept my words to myself, for trying to release them seemed to morph them into a messy jumble even I had difficulty sorting through. Truthfully, I was embarrassed of my writings for they too accurately mirrored my life that, at the time, I didn't choose to live. I was not proud of my work, nor of the person I inevitably became in the face of my said challenges. Yet, over time, slowly and piece by piece, I encouraged myself to find contentment within my inner darkness and learned how to grow within all parts of who I am. I've cultivated an internal world I've come to love and utilize as my guidance through all that may not be in my control. As the saying goes, "I've taken such depression and molded it into [self] expression." I forged through the muck back to myself, again and again, and for that I am proud of my persistence against life's perils.
My writing may still be messy, but it is mine and now I will continue to share a piece of my heart here with you, dear reader. Writing may be considered as a form of therapy, yet for me it will always be so much more, and I'm grateful for this space to share my vulnerabilities and my humanness with you all, whoever may be listening. A space of my own where my words, thoughts, and dreams may be held is a beautiful wonder I've wished for. Yet, I also wish to clarify that I do not write for myself alone; here, I write for you, dear reader, to foster connection and a sense of belonging or acceptance in such an overly stimulating society. By sharing my story, I hope to resonate with you, if only with one person, so that you may feel less alone. Perhaps some of my ramblings may even encourage you to further your journey of self-expression and expansion, to love yourself more in duality and all. Then I would know I truly am blessed to have made any impact.
You see, dear reader, this has been your therapy all along. A calling to find love and contentment with life, a calling to return to yourself and to share your own heart with the world. Thank you for coming here and now, I hope to hear from you. Please take this space to share your thoughts, ask any questions, or feel free to leave any words for others. Or leave any suggestions of what you would like me to touch on in the future. Let's all start a positive, constructive dialogue below. I look forward to hearing from you.
(If you would like to leave a personal message to me, feel free to message me through Instagram, or to leave a comment through the contact page. Perhaps I will start a series where I respond to prompts or questions left by readers, we will see :)
